At  Spaviatech Law, our team  has more than two decades of rich experience of addressing complex legal challenges and problem solving in some of the leading matters in Aviation, Aerospace, Technology and International Trade. Our team consist of managing partners with international academic credentials having rich international and worldwide industry experience, litigation experience and regulatory interactions. The Managing Partners are  ably assisted by lawyers from premiere law schools.

Ms. Rakhee Biswas

Headed global legal teams at  Allianz Bajaj Insurance, HCL Technologies, Oracle, IBM, GE, Honeywell Technology Solutions, Mindtree and ITC Infotech. Ms. Biswas brings nearly 24 years of experience in complex compliance matters, Corporate Investigations, Technology and Aerospace ( commercial and defense) practice.  She has also led  more than 2500 international complex commercial negotiations generating business of several billions of dollars in revenue. Her skills at understanding business ecosystems,  international regulatory requirements and offering solutions are well recognized. She has been recognized as the best Privacy Counsel by Indian National Bar Association. She has won several other awards. She has co-authored a book each on Law  of Patents and Laws of Insurance. She is  also a member of the WICCI National Aviation Council and holds a LLM in Aviation Law from the University of Toulouse, located in the French aviation town of Toulouse. She is one of the few Indian woman lawyers formally trained in Drone Laws, IOT and allied matters.

Mr. Syed Tamjeed Ahmed

An alumnus of the reputed International Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University, Netherlands,  where he completed an advanced LLM in Air and Space Law. He began his career with the aerospace giant, Boeing’s Brussels office located in Belgium, (Brussels also being the headquarter of European Commission), working with its International Trade/Regulatory Affairs team. In 2019, Mr. Ahmad was appointed amicus curiae by the Principal Bench of Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal in a matter involving conflict between aircraft rules and India’s export control regulations. Mr. Ahmad has worked on numerous aircraft purchase/leasing transactions. He has also worked on some of country’s leading banking matters and international trade control matters.  Mr. Ahmad is well experienced in International Export Control, International Trade Laws, aircraft/asset financing, indirect taxation, and has argued before numerous High Courts/Tribunals and the Supreme Court of India.

Mr. Ahmad is a prolific author on legal topics. He is an incoming PhD candidate at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. His doctoral thesis shall be on the subject of  Environment, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) Finance, a very important topic in international asset financing.
